Cut or Bulk ("the App") is developed and operated by an independent developer. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the App.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Photos: Photos you submit for AI-based body composition analysis. Photos are uploaded to Firebase Storage temporarily for processing and are deleted after analysis is complete. Photos are not stored permanently.
• Quiz answers: Responses you provide during onboarding and assessment quizzes.
• Subscription status: Whether you have an active subscription, managed through Apple's App Store.
• Analytics events: Anonymous usage data collected via Firebase Analytics.
• Device identifiers: Anonymous device identifiers used for analytics and app functionality.
• Referral codes: Linked to anonymous user IDs for the referral program.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide AI-powered body composition analysis and fitness phase recommendations.
• To store your scan history and results so you can track progress over time.
• To understand aggregate usage patterns and improve the App.
• To manage subscriptions and the referral program.

3. Photo Processing

When you submit a photo for analysis, it is uploaded to Firebase Storage and sent to the Google Gemini API for body composition assessment. Photos are deleted from Firebase Storage after processing is complete. Your photos are not shared with any third parties beyond the AI analysis service (Google Gemini API) and are not used for any purpose other than generating your analysis results.

4. No Personally Identifiable Information

The App uses Firebase Anonymous Authentication. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other personally identifiable information. All data is linked to an anonymous user ID.

5. Analytics

We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage data such as feature usage, session duration, and general interaction patterns. This data is aggregated and cannot be used to identify you personally.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

Subscriptions are managed entirely through Apple's App Store. We do not collect, process, or store any payment information. All billing is handled by Apple.

7. Data Retention

Scan results and quiz answers are stored in Firebase Firestore and linked to your anonymous user ID. This data is retained for as long as your account exists.

8. Your Rights and Data Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Settings screen within the App. Upon deletion, all data linked to your anonymous user ID — including scan history, quiz answers, and referral information — will be permanently removed.

9. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

• Firebase (Google): Authentication, Firestore database, Storage, and Analytics.
• Google Gemini API: AI-powered body composition analysis.
• Superwall: Paywall and subscription management.
• Apple StoreKit: In-app purchase and subscription processing.

10. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided data through the App, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted within the App or on this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
